Hello! I’m Grayson Donohoe, a current third year student at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I’m a history major, but I’m also getting my certification in secondary education. History and education have been lifelong passions of mine since a very early age, and my mission is to teach history in a way that excites and inspires the next generation. I believe that being a history student means more than knowing dates, people, and events, it means being able to think critically about our past and present and gain a better understanding about why the world around us is the way it is.
Throughout my time at UMW, I’ve taken courses that have challenged my skills and knowledge and allowed me to expand my understanding into diverse time periods and topics. On this site, you will find some of those projects and within them the kinds of work I’ve been able to do from written works to video projects.
